Season 1
Fresh leaderboards, double XP, reward skins — starts Mon June 1, 2026 at 20:00 CEST
1. Overview
Season 1 is the first competitive season of Epic Idle Quest 2. It runs on a separate Temporal realm — a fresh, time-limited world where every character starts from scratch. No legacy gear, no head starts, just you, double XP, and four leaderboards.
When the season ends, Temporal characters merge into the permanent Eternal realm. Nothing is lost — items, gold, dust, skills, and unlocked skins all transfer. Final leaderboard ranks earn account-wide reward skins that unlock on every character you ever play, on both realms.
Why play? Whether you've been playing since launch or just picked up the game, Season 1 is a level playing field. Compete from day one, race the leaderboards, and earn reward skins for your whole account — plus a
special reward still to be revealed (see
Rewards).

3. Temporal Realm — Fresh Start
- Select Temporal on the character creation screen to make a season character
- Temporal characters are completely separate from your Eternal characters — they don't share items, gold, or skills
- Existing Eternal characters are not affected by Season 1 — they keep their gear and continue as normal
- Eternal players can also create a Temporal character to compete — the reward skins are account-wide, so they're worth it even if Eternal is your main
- You can play hardcore on Temporal too — toggle Hardcore at character creation (see Hardcore Mode)
4. Double XP
The Temporal realm has a permanent +100% XP bonus for the entire duration of Season 1. This bonus applies to every kill, every nightmare fight, and every PvP win.
- Stacks additively with the Boost ad bonus (+10%) — total of +110% XP with Boost active on Temporal
- Applies to all four leaderboards equally
- Indicator visible in the in-game buff bar
Catch-up math: Double XP means you can match an Eternal player's level in roughly half the playtime. Combined with the fresh start, this is the easiest time to climb the rankings.
5. Leaderboards
Season 1 has four independent leaderboards. Each is snapshotted at season end and persists permanently in the Hall of Fame.
| Board | Ranks by | Who's eligible |

Hardcore Temporal characters (living + fallen) |
- View all four during the season via Hall of Fame → Temporal tab
- Fallen hardcore characters stay on the leaderboard as monuments — see Hardcore Mode
- You can hold the top rank on multiple boards simultaneously (e.g. a hardcore character can lead both HC PvE and HC PvP)
6. Rewards
All Season 1 reward skins are account-wide — once unlocked, they're available to every character on your account, present and future, on both realms.
| Reward | Who gets it |
| Season 1 Champion — reward skin |
The rank-1 player on each leaderboard: PvE, PvP, Hardcore PvE, and Hardcore PvP. Up to 4 winners total. |
| Season 1 Participant — reward skin |
Every player who created a Temporal character and played in Season 1. |
★ Special Reward — coming soon
On top of the Champion and Participant skins, there's an additional special reward for Season 1 players. We're keeping it under wraps for now — full details will be revealed before the season ends. Watch the News and our Discord for the announcement.
7. Season End — Merge to Eternal
At 20:00 CEST on Fri July 31, 2026, Season 1 ends. Leaderboards freeze, reward eligibility is locked, and Temporal characters merge into the Eternal realm.
What transfers
- The character itself — level, XP, skills, achievements
- All items: equipped, in backpack, in stash
- Gold and dust
- Boss skins this character captured — they stay with the character as it moves to Eternal
What changes
- Name collision: if your Temporal name is already taken on Eternal, you'll be prompted to rename on next login
- PvP rating resets to 1000 — clean slate in Eternal ranked play
- Double XP ends — back to standard Eternal XP rates
- The character becomes a new, separate character on your account — it doesn't merge into an existing Eternal character
What stays public
- The frozen Season 1 leaderboards remain visible in the Hall of Fame forever — with names, ranks, equipment snapshots, and skills
- Your final Season 1 rank is shown in your character's lifetime stats
Strategy: Push hard for the top of any board you have a shot at — the entire final leaderboard is frozen and kept on the Hall of Fame permanently, so your placement is recorded for good no matter where you finish. And remember: the Participant skin only requires that you played — create a Temporal character on day one and you're guaranteed at least one reward skin.
